Each ceramic confection is created when it is ordered. We do not mass or preproduce anything. So when you order we start from the mud (clay or slip) up. Your's is the only order on our minds and work bench. We review the color and inscriptions you want and create the ceramic confection just for you. As far as we know we are unique in this feature. We become your personal artists.

We have have become known for the feminine pastel colors, many of which are our own formulas. If we want a color we can't find we create our own. And although you see mosly pastels on the site, as they are the most requested, we have lots and lots of glaze colors we can use from clear, bright to rich, muddy colors. Glazes, however, are not like paint. Glazes cannot achive exact color matches or saturations, as this is inheret to the medium. Some artistic license may be taken to achive the desired outcome. Because each of our ceramic confections is hand painted, imperfections are to be expected and are part of the charm of the hand crafted piece.

When you see the "Limited Edition" in the description of a piece it means that we were able to acquire an antique mold. Antique molds have a very short life and when the mold breaks down it is gone forever. We search for antique molds because they speak to the feminine grace in us. We will add limited edition pieces as we find them. If you find one you like, please do not hesitate. We get calls every week for limited edition pieces that are no longer available, we hate to disappoint.

We can also create special order confections to match or coordinate with something you may already have. Or perhaps you want a specialized gift for an anniversary, wedding, etc. that would require something you do not see on our site. Part of the beauty of what we do is that we can you anything! There are no rules, we don't like rules, so contact us and let us show you what we can do.

When you place your order we review it to make sure we understand what you want. We then send you a copy of your order for your review. Once you confirm that all is correct, we then charge your credit card and get to work on your order. Please remember that general turn around time is now 8 to 10 weeks due to our growing popularity.
